In the afternoon, we’ll head to Cape Coast (approx. 116km). |
4 | Tuesday | Kakum Treehouse or possibly a hotel nearby | Half board | After Elmina (14km): Slave trading castle, picturesque fishing town. Return to Cape Coast for dinner, then continue to Kakum National Park (total approx. 47km). |
5 | Wednesday | Beach hotel in/or near Axim | Half board | Early morning: Treetop walk over suspension bridges, high among the tall rainforest trees of Kakum National Park, followed by an approximately one-hour nature trail with an expert guide. Then to Cape Coast (33 km) for breakfast and on to Axim (approx. 140km). |

9 | Sunday | Village guesthouse | Full board | Hike across farmland, tasting of fresh palm wine in the bush; meeting with representatives of the Mesomagor Women’s Association; performance by the traditional bamboo orchestra and the village dance group |
10 | Monday | Hotel in Kumasi | Half board | Visit to small rural businesses in the neighboring village, lunch in Mesomagor on request, then to Lake Busumtwi near Kumasi (approx. 200 km) |
